Obsession: Pornography or object of sexual activity
Compulsion: Viewing pornography, sexual activity
Many hesitate to define themselves as a “sex addict,” and often are scared to discuss their sexual issues. However, one does not have to be a “sex addict” to suffer from one or multiple sexual issues. Sexual identity issues, sexual behavior (such as viewing pornography, engaging in prostitution/prostitutes, risky sexual relationships, etc), “sexual anorexia” (or withholding from sex), sexual trauma, unhealthy sexual relationships, and other unhealthy sexual behavior patterns are all common “symptoms” of traumatic and painful experiences.
