The Bridge to Recovery is a nonprofit program offering residential workshops to those impacted by unresolved trauma resulting in pain, shame, and guilt, further causing unhealthy behavior patterns. Since 1972, we have helped thousands of individuals and families experience healing and emotional recovery.

Job Description

The Fundraising Director works closely with the Executive Director to identify, nurture, and grow philanthropic revenue streams including individual donations, company matching & monetary donations, legacy gifts, goods & services gifts, and grant requests & management. This role also works across departments to identify and manage the donor base, access and update records across software programs, and manage department budgets and financial accounts.

Job Duties

  • Build and maintain relationships with potential donors, introducing them to pathways for giving.
  • Nurture relationships with past or ongoing donors to continue pathway for giving.
  • Manage, track, and analyze donor data across multiple digital platforms, as well as establish metrics and KPIs for success.
  • Use fundraising principles to strategize, implement, and successfully manage capital campaigns, major gift campaigns, and planned giving.
  • Plan and host fundraising events.
  • Develop Annual Report for publication.
  • Oversee that all donations are distributed to the correct fund(s).
  • Communicate with potential donors, identifying potential for giving, interest level, and strategy for ask.
  • Strategize and implement most effective communication of appreciation to donors.
  • Schedule and coordinate media appearances for fundraising information, need requests, and events.
  • Manage grant projects, including identifying grant need, availability, fit, requirements, deadlines, follow up, and outcomes.
  • Attend grant eligibility meetings, webinars, and trainings.
  • Work across departments to ensure funds are used in accordance within gift parameters, ethics, and protocols.
  • Create donor recognition opportunities.

Desired Qualifications

  • BA/BS with at least 6 years professional experience (or equivalent combination)
  • Experience soliciting and closing gifts in excess of $50,000.
  • Exceptional professional and ethical values.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient using multiple fundraising digital platforms, including wealth screening software, Donorbox or other collection platforms, Guidestar, etc.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, G Suite, Dropbox.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently.
