Bowling Green Residential Mental Health Services

Built to foster a sense of community and help clients work toward whole-person recovery, our residential mental health service program is unlike any other. Our workshop is conducted in a group setting, and during your stay, you’ll participate in intensive therapy seven days per week. The average length of stay at our center is 2-4 weeks, but this is flexible and personal to each individual who gets care at our facility.

The Bridge to Recovery’s program uses a combination of experiential therapies and wellness services, including but not limited to the following:

  • Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Family therapy and workshops.
  • Expressive arts therapy.
  • Narrative therapy.
  • Body movement.
  • Equine therapy.
  • Music therapy.

Our Bowling Green mental health facility also offers self-love work, yoga, meditation, sex and intimacy work, empty chair work, and other services. Group sizes are small and guided by a clinical team that operates outside of the typical medical model expected in other programs.

The Three Phases of Our Program

Our mental health program features three key phases.

During the first stage of our program, you’ll learn about and explore your personal trauma. You may reflect on or outwardly identify things like events that occurred, how they affected you, and the coping mechanisms you might have developed as a result.

All of us have life experiences that influence the way we move through the world and how we perceive ourselves. This type of reflection matters no matter what kind of experiences you’ve had personally.

That’s why the structure of our Residential Trauma Programs works for clients facing an array of mental health concerns, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder and other anxiety disorders, body image, addiction, mood disorders like depression, and complicated grief.

In phase two, you’ll discover how trauma or related concerns have manifested in your life and start building a strong set of sustainable coping skills. Clients can use these coping skills in their lives long-term, and they very much so serve as a lifeline, replacing potential maladaptive behaviors and empowering you to work through challenges and support your mental health confidentiality in day-to-day life.

Often, trauma and mental health conditions negatively affect the relationship we have with ourselves. Among other consequences, this may interfere with our ability to listen to ourselves, problem-solve, and build or maintain positive relationships with others.

Phase three of the program at The Bridge to Recovery focuses on continued self-discovery and healing through peer support. It’s vital to build a positive, trusting relationship with yourself. When you nurture the relationship you have with yourself, it makes every part of life easier.
