Checklist of Items to Bring

  • The weather can be unpredictable, so please bring clothes that can be layered depending on fluctuating temperatures.  Casual, comfortable clothing (modest in style) is strongly suggested.
    (For your convenience, washers/dryers and laundry detergent are provided by the Bridge).
  • Comfortable indoor and outdoor shoes, as well as shoes that can get dirty in the Horse Arena
  • All personal toiletries
  • Hair dryer/curling iron/straightening iron if needed
  • Bath towels (2 per person is adequate)
  • Flashlight (you may be walking outside after dark for some activities, during certain times of the year).
  • Umbrella
  • Backpack (not required, but nice to have to carry binders or other work from residences and lodge).
  • Alarm clock (no radio alarms please).
  • Pre-paid phone card (if needed for international calls)
  • Spending money. All meals are provided by The Bridge, but clients always like to have some spending money for trips into Bowling Green. Generally small amounts of $15 to $20 a week are enough. 
  • Stationary/cards for letter writing, and stamps (OPTIONAL, however clients can send and receive mail throughout their stay).
  • Swimsuit and extra towel (for the sauna if you choose to use it).
  • All medications discussed with your Intake Specialist.
  • PLEASE BRING PICTURES OF YOURSELF FROM INFANCY THROUGH 30 YEARS FOR AN EXERCISE THAT YOU WILL DO WHILE HERE (If you have limited pictures available, please bring whatever you can).

Items NOT to bring:

  • Please do not bring pets! Due to allergies of staff and other clients, we are not able to accommodate these needs. 
  • Use of cameras is prohibited, as this violates the confidentiality of our clients.
  • No Musical Instruments of any kind. 
  • Books and magazines 
  • Nicotine and other tobacco products (electronic cigarettes, cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, pipes and anything along these lines).  Acceptable to bring nicotine cessation aides; such as gum, lozenges and patches.  Our client relations office also sells lozenges and gum if you run out while at The Bridge.
  • We ask that you not bring in any food, candy, coffee products and caffeinated drinks, such as sodas.
  • Any illicit drugs and/or alcohol.  We are a drug, alcohol and nicotine free campus.
  • Any adult toys/items used for sexual gratification
