The Bridge to Recovery program is a “workshop” model that has found powerful progress happens in a group setting. This can be scary and intimidating for those with preconceived notions about “group therapy.” However, our group process is very unique and we encourage you to keep an open mind and trust our nearly 50 years of success. While attending our program, you will engage in your individual healing work, nurtured and supported by our group process.
As previously mentioned, our admissions dates are closed which allows for our groups to create a safe, intimate, and cohesive connection. Our Milieu can consist of men and women ages 20 and up (with 18 and 19 year olds considered on a case-by-case basis). We have found this to be the most effective way of addressing trauma issues. We have found that within each individual group filled with diverse genders and ages, family systems specific to the needs and issues with the group present themselves, allowing for those to be addressed head-on. Real and authentic healing is nurtured in this setting.
While scary at first, group members often create authentic, healthy, and real connections with their group members. Many go on to create lifelong friendships and support systems with their group members.
