At The Bridge, we also recognize that every individual is unique in their healing process, including the amount of time it takes for healing to occur. Because it is important to us to allow you to heal at your own pace, and nurture it as it occurs, we have created the space for this process to take place.
Our minimum length of stay is 2 weeks (14 days). Many of our clients commit to 2 weeks, experience amazing progress and healing in that 2 weeks, and decide to conclude their time with us. However, there are those that find their healing process needs more time, or there may be pieces they want to further explore that have been uncovered. For those clients we offer them the opportunity to extend for additional lengths of time. Each client will have the opportunity to collaborate with their counselors, their group members, and their support team to determine if they want to stay longer – it is ultimately their decision. Our job is to keep that space open and available for your healing process to happen. Clients can ultimately stay up to 12 weeks if they so choose. Our average length of stay is anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.
It is important to us that your healing happens on your timeline, not ours.
This concept is another aspect truly unique to The Bridge to Recovery. There is no “set” amount of time, or time limitations to an individual who feels their work is still incomplete. It is up to the individual to determine what is best for their mind, body, and soul; but, never will you find yourself in a situation where you have opened up and you are engaged in the process, only for the program to end/conclude (such as a “30-day program”) leaving you to return home still hurting and raw. This is why we offer the extension opportunity. It is important to us that your healing happens on your timeline, not ours.
