Learning to control and manage our thinking and breathing helps us learn to have better control over our thought processes and develop healthy behavioral coping skills when faced with stress. At The Bridge to Recovery, we incorporate these techniques in a variety of ways.

At The Bridge to Recovery, we have found that by stepping back into trauma situations in a safe and secure space, we can find resolution and restructure the core thoughts and behaviors that developed from that trauma. Role-play is a great way to do that. It also helps improve our communication, social skills, boundaries, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

Most of our clients at The Bridge to Recovery find themselves stuck in their negative thinking patterns. Part of our process is to help our clients identify these negative patterns, reframe them in a healthy manner, and learn coping skills to recreate this process on their own when necessary.
