And Many More
Here is the interesting thing about phase of life events: they happen to everyone. All of us experience some sort of phase of life event, and many of us experience a lot of them. But, how we navigate through those events is impacted by many factors, including:
And many other factors.
For our purposes here, it is important to understand the correlation between unresolved trauma and the difficulty it can create when trying to navigate phase of life events.
You can learn more about understanding and healing trauma here. In summary, when trauma occurs, especially during developmentally critical times, our response systems can become impaired and vulnerable. As we progress in life, those response systems usually do not serve us well, and we rely on negative patterns of behavior to help us navigate.
If you are struggling with a phase of life event, the root of the pain is often much deeper. We have many folks who attend our program because they find themselves struggling with a phase of life event, and are grateful to have the opportunity to work on the “whole-self” approach.
With our “whole-self” approach, we do not just help our clients navigate the event, but process where that underlying struggle is coming from, heal from it, develop life-sustaining tools, and move forward in their journey.
